"A" Device Description

The "A" Device is a miniature bronze letter "A" that is authorized for certain medals and ribbons belonging to the U.S. Armed Forces. The device symbolizes an arctic tour and is affixed onto a ribbon. The device is centered on the ribbon in question, and for each consecutive awarding, a bronze oak leaf is placed to the right of the "A." At present, the "A" is only authorized on the Air Force Overseas Ribbon - Short Tour due to the retirement of the last award that could receive it. This device is in a 1/4" size.It comes in Bronze.
