A personal decoration is one that has been awarded specifically to a member of the U.S. Armed Forces for actions they have completed. Such examples would be the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal or the Silver Star.Decorations of this class can have a type of Medal of Honor, Service Cross Medal, Distinguished Service Medal, Non-Combat Heroism Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
