Service Star Description
A service star (also known as a battle star or campaign star) is a bronze or silver 3/16" device that is affixed to ribbons and medals. It represents a particular action like a campaign or length of service that a U.S. Armed Forces personnel has accomplished. In many cases, they represent an individual campaign that a member could have served in (See Iraq Campaign Ribbon) or constitute a period of service within a time constraint (See National Defense Service Ribbon). The service star device comes in bronze and silver. A bronze star represents one specific action. A silver star represents five bronze stars. On the sixth awarding, the bronze star is affixed to wearer's left of the silver star.This device is in a 3/16' size.It comes in Bronze and Silver.

Combat Readiness Medal (Air Force) |
Per the regulation, the Combat Readiness medal is awarded to "any member of U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, or Air Force Reserve, who have accomplished sustained individual combat mission readiness in an Air Force weapon system or who have undertaken the preparedness for direct weapon-system employment. A service member must have completed 24 cumulative months of sustained duty performance for the medal to be received."

The medal is awarded to Army Reserve members who have completed 2 of 3 years required of AGR service when being ordered to active duty.
Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal |
The medal is awarded to Navy Reserve members who have completed 2 of 3 years required of AGR service when being ordered to active duty.
Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal |
The medal is awarded to Air Force Reserve members who have completed 2 of 3 years required of AGR service when being ordered to active duty.
Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal |
The medal is awarded to Marine Reserve members who have completed 2 of 3 years required of AGR service when being ordered to active duty.
Coast Guard Reserve Good Conduct Medal |
The medal is awarded to Coast Guard Reserve members who have completed 2 of 3 years required of AGR service when being ordered to active duty.
Armed Forces Reserve Medal |
The medal is earned dependent on time served and if a mobilization had occurred in the time of awarding.
Navy Expeditionary Medal |
This medal is awarded for "Landed on foreign territory and engaged in operations against armed opposition, or operated under circumstances which, after full consideration, shall be deemed to merit special recognition and for which service no campaign medal has been awarded."
Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal |
This medal is awarded for marines who "Land on foreign territory, engage in operations against armed opposition, or who operate under circumstances deemed to merit special recognition and for which no campaign medal has been awarded".
Armed Forces Service Medal |
Awarded for engaging in "significant activity" for which no other campaign or service medal is authorized.
Humanitarian Service Medal |
Personnel must have participated in a military action or manuever that provides humanitarian aid.
Antarctica Service Medal |
Training or service between fifteen to thirty consecutive days stationed in Antarctica.
Kosovo Campaign Medal |
The medal recognizes military service performed in Kosovo from March 24, 1999 through December 31, 2013.
Afghanistan Campaign Medal |
For Service in Afghanistan between September 11, 2001 to present.
Iraq Campaign Medal |
For service in Iraq between the periods of March 2003 to December of 2011.
Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal |
Direct support in service in Iraq or Syria
Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal |
serving or have served in military expeditions to combat terrorism.
Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon |
This ribbon is awarded for 90-day forward deployment aboard a vessel underway.
Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon |
This ribbon is awarded for 90-day deployment aboard a vessel underway.
Army Sea Duty Ribbon |
This ribbon is awarded for 90-day deployment aboard a vessel underway.
Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon |
This ribbon is awarded for 90-day deployment aboard a vessel underway.
Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon |
The ribbon is awarded to any member of the Air Force who completes a standard contingency deployment.
